Call for papers in Special Edition – Sustainability
Inviting all interested parties to take part in our Special Edition issue focusing on sustainability, to be published in May 2023.
Transformers Magazine cordially invites all interested parties including academic researchers, professional engineers, electrical utilities and consultants, as well as component and material manufacturers to take part in our Special Edition focusing on sustainability, to be published in May 2023.
Sustainability, along with digitalization, is a trend with probably the strongest impact on the current market and technology development, as well as on the transformer markets and technology.
Through cooperation with pioneers in these fields, Transformers Magazine has become deeply immersed in these two topics, particularly through training programmes and the exchange of information. In 2022, these topics were amply represented both in regular and special editions of TM, as well as in Transformers Academy content. The summit of all the work invested in the sustainability topic was a two-day conference in October 2022 that took place in Zagreb, Croatia. The conference included 20 excellent lectures with panel discussions and several Q&A sessions. The conference was followed by an equally important research project on the subject.
As the preliminary results of that research have shown, training and education are among the most important success factors in the field of sustainability. Thereby the current efforts should be intensified, in which TM will wholeheartedly contribute through the organization of events and by publishing a special edition of the magazine on the topic of sustainability.
This special edition aims to contribute to the understanding of advanced solutions through the exchange of available information and to present new ideas, to encourage the market to take the necessary steps forward.

- Efficiency
- Circular economy
- Saving resources / re-using materials
- Protecting ecosystems
- Enhancing operational human health and safety
With this edition, we wish to give an opportunity to all interested parties for presenting their ideas on technology, business and innovations, as well as to support them on the way to practical application.
Transformers Magazine is a publication specializing in the transformers industry, manufacturing, research, and the market, with a particular focus on green solutions and solutions for novel technologies and smart grids. We nurture a scientific approach to the scope of interest, where our technical and business articles are recognized by a wide readership of professionals for their professional excellence.

Please express your interest by 30 January 2023.
Upon publication of the Special Edition, one of the guest editors will be invited to the Editorial Board of Transformers Magazine as a permanent member.
AUTHORS – MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
We cordially invite authors to submit original, previously unpublished material. Authors can express intent to submit a paper or submit their full-length manuscripts following our regular submission procedure by 28 February 2023 by email to info@merit-media.com. Please, specify in all correspondence and submissions that your work is intended for special edition Sustainability.
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the submission guidelines outlined in the Author Centre of the Transformers Magazine Publish with us webpage.
All submitted manuscripts of technical articles will undergo an anonymous peer review. Thus, the invitation to submit a manuscript does not guarantee inclusion in the special edition.
