Bruno Jurisic
KONCAR – Electrical Engineering InstituteBruno Jurišić earned his PhD in 2016 through a joint program between the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and the University Blaise Pascal, France. His doctoral research focused on methods for calculating high-frequency transmitted overvoltages through power transformers. Currently, Bruno serves as the Director of the Business Unit Research and Development at KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute. His work spans several key areas, including transformers, switchgears, rotating machines, monitoring systems, and laboratory testing. With over a decade of R&D experience related to power transformers, Bruno has authored
more than 10 scientific papers published in international journals indexed in the Scopus database and over 50 papers presented at international conferences. An active member of CIGRÉ, Bruno holds the position of SC A2 Croatian representative. He also serves as the convenor of CIGRÉ JWG A2/C4/D1.77: Design of Transformers for Very Fast Transient Overvoltages and is the task force leader of CIGRÉ WG A2.63: Transformer Impulse Testing. Additionally, he contributes to several other working groups, including JWG B2/C1.86: Approach for Asset Management of Overhead Transmission Lines, JWG C4/A3/B2/B4.75: Guide to Procedures for the Creation of Contamination Maps for Outdoor Insulation Coordination, and JWG A2/D2.65: Transformer Digital Twin – Concept and Future Perspectives.
