MATELECAn expert in the electrical industry with 30 years of experience across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from both the Lebanese University (Lebanon) and ENSEEIHT (France), as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from ESA Business School (Lebanon) and ESCP-EAP (France). Currently serving as Sales & Business Development Director.

thyssenkrupp Electrical SteelMarcel Hilgers is Vice President Customers, Markets & Technology at thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel.
He believes in listening to his customers and creating solutions to serve their true needs.
With over 20-year of experience in the global steel business, and thereof over 10 years serving the transformer industry, he now works intensely on the green transformation of both steel and transformers.
Marcel leads the sales, technical customer engineering and communications team at thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel – the European market leader in grain oriented electrical steel.
His key priority today is to inform the electricity industry about options to decarbonize the grid and to form alliances across raw material suppliers, transformer makers and electric utilities.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Norrby
NYNASThomas Norrby was born in Stockholm, Sweden. In 1997, he graduated with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with a Thesis on Artificial Photosynthesis, from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.With more than 25 years of industry experience, his current position with Nynas AB is as Technical Manager for the application areas Lubricants and Electrical Industry. His main tasks include Naphthenic base oil and transformer liquids product development and applications, lubricant application model studies and technical demonstrators, and technical support to the electrical industry. He also is very active in lecturing and in making presentations.Before joining Nynas in 2014, he was responsible for lubricants R&D for Statoil Lubricant in different roles for over 15 years, more than 10 years as the R&D Manager for lubricants.Thomas Norrby also holds a chair as Adjunct Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), at the Department of Machine Design. The focus of his industrial research is Tribology and Tribochemical investigations of base oils and lubricants.
