Korea: Korea Electric Power Corp. announced that the company will be designing and building a digitized power substation in Bhutan.

United Kingdom: British rolling stock leasing company Eversholt Rail has awarded Vossloh Kiepe, a UK turnkey solutions provider to the rail transport industry a contract to equip 30 four-car class 321 regional EMUs (electric multiple unit) dating from the late 1980s with ac traction motors, new auxiliary systems and new braking systems as part of its Renatus upgrading programme.

The Netherlands, Arnhem: TenneT, the Netherlands national electricity transmission system operator has signed framework agreements for the future supply of power transformers and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) for the Dutch offshore power grid.

Spanish engineering and construction company Abengoa has been awarded contracts to design and install two power transmission projects in Argentina at a total value of $49M.

India, Mumbai: National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), India’s largest generation utility has awarded a $19 million contract to Avantha Group Company Crompton Greaves (CG) to build the largest rating GSU transformer in India.
