Ofgem is inviting tenders to own and operate electricity transmission links which will connect RWE’s 1.4 GW Sofia Offshore Wind Farm to the country’s mainland network.

Heerema has completed the installation of the offshore substation for the 1400 MW Sofia Offshore Wind Farm off the UK coast.

The work will start around 10 August, with the installation of the pin piles and the jacket foundation, as well as the converter platform topside.
