Argentina, Santa Fe: Cociar SA, the only bidder who participated in the bidding process for the upgrade of transformer station Puerto Santa Fe, far exceeded the official estimate.
The company bidded almost $10 million for the work – approximately three times as much as the official estimate of $3,4 million. Due to the proposal from Cocialbeing so high, the Empresa Provincial de la Energía (EPE) may repeat the bidding process, reports El Litoral.
The work aims to expand the capacity of Puerto Santa Fe Station with the addition of the second power transformer of 40 MVA. The additional power equipment valued at $17 million would be provided by the EPE, making the total planned investment exceed $20 million.
