USA, Niagara Falls: An initiative has been launched to preserve the old transformers house at the Edward Dean Adams Power Plant in Niagara Falls, turning it into a museum.
The initiative has been announced by a group of volunteers called Tesla at Niagara with a plan to create a museum at the former transformer house of the Edward Dean Adams Power Plant, showcasing Nikola Tesla and his ties to the city, reports The Buffalo News.
The building is the last remaining structure from the hydroelectric power plant that generated the electricity carried from the Falls to Buffalo using Tesla’s alternating current system in 1896, the first successful adaptation of alternating current on a large scale in history.
