Jos Electricity invested over $10M in new transformers

Nigeria, Jos: The Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) has invested more than $10 million into procuring new transformers and other essential electrical equipment to ensure a more efficient service supply.

 


Nigeria, Jos: The Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) has invested more than $10 million into procuring new transformers and other essential electrical equipment to ensure a more efficient service supply.

The Managing Director of JEDC, Mohammed Modibbo, said that a lot of the company’s transformers were dilapidated with some being more than 50 years old, reports NNP.

Modibbo stated the replacement of old transformers with new ones “improved the capability of injection substations and improved energy distribution,” cites NPP.
