India, Mumbai: Bajel Projects Limited, a subsidiary of the Bajaj Group and a key player in power transmission and distribution, has successfully commissioned two major 400 kV transmission line projects: Raipur Pool – Dhamtari and Navsari – Magarwada.
The Raipur Pool – Dhamtari transmission line, spanning over 88 km, was completed on 22 March 2025. The project involved installing 400 kV dwarf towers, enabling construction in constrained spaces. Overcoming challenges such as Right-of-Way issues, waterlogged terrain, and high-voltage crossings, Bajel delivered the project efficiently and on schedule.
The 44 km Navsari – Magarwada transmission line, developed for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), achieved an impressive 1.5 million safe man-hours. Completed ahead of schedule, the project upheld the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality, despite complex terrain and strict regulatory requirements.
Rajesh Ganesh, MD & CEO of Bajel Projects, stated: “Our execution expertise ensures we consistently deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient solutions. Leveraging advanced technology and industry best practices, we continue to set new benchmarks.”
These projects contribute to India’s power grid expansion, aligning with the National Electricity Plan (Transmission) by the Central Electricity Authority. As India targets 1,274 GVA of transformation capacity by 2032, Bajel’s efforts are pivotal in enhancing grid reliability and supporting the nation’s growing energy demands.
