India, Jharkhand, Sindri: In a major boost to regional energy infrastructure, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has inaugurated a modern 33 / 11 kV E-House substation in Sindri, its fifth such installation. The advanced facility is designed to enhance electricity reliability and meet the rising power demands of both industries and local communities.

The substation was officially launched by DVC’s Chief Vigilance Officer, Sudipta Acharjee, with DVC Member Arup Sarkar and other senior officials in attendance. The inauguration also welcomed current and prospective power consumers, including prominent industrial entities like Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL).

Built to ensure improved voltage regulation and minimise power outages, the E-House substation will contribute significantly to sustaining industrial operations and supporting regional development.

“These developments reflect DVC’s steadfast commitment to delivering dependable, high-quality electricity to its consumers,” said a DVC spokesperson. “The Sindri substation represents another step forward in strengthening the area’s energy infrastructure and driving progress.”

E-House substations, known for their compact, modular design and rapid deployment capability, are increasingly favored in industrial zones for their efficiency and reliability.

With the commissioning of this new unit, DVC continues to expand its footprint in delivering infrastructure solutions that align with India’s broader goals of energy resilience and industrial growth.
