Türkiye, Dilovası: Hitachi Energy is strengthening its power transformer manufacturing operations in Türkiye to meet the demand for sustainable energy infrastructure across Türkiye, Europe, and Asia with a new state-of-the-art 45000 m2 factory in Dilovası. This expansion will help meet customer demand and delivery lead times while maintaining quality. The facility will help boost manufacturing capacity by 70% and create 30% more jobs in the region.
“The move to the Organized Industrial Zone in Dilovası offers significant advantages, including ease of transportation of transformers due to its proximity to the commercial port. This expansion underscores our commitment to supporting the energy transition and meeting the decarbonization needs of our customers,” said Carlos Pettinau, Hub Manager APMEA, Business Unit Transformers, Hitachi Energy.
The facility will be an ultra-low-carbon factory, reducing carbon emissions by about 95%. Part of the expansion involves simplifying operations and enabling the workforce to benefit from the latest technology and health and safety standards through enhanced digitalization of operations. It will also contribute to an environmentally friendly production process, and will create jobs, support local communities, and provide infrastructure for a more sustainable, flexible, and secure energy system.
