Croatia, Zagreb: The Laboratory Center of KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute has officially started construction on its new high voltage laboratory near Zagreb. This facility aims to strengthen the company’s market position by expanding its testing services globally, with a focus on exporting services and expanding its presence beyond Europe.
The new laboratory will conduct type, special, research, and development tests on high-voltage equipment, specializing in HVDC and HVAC cable systems and converters for HVDC transmission. This aligns with the increasing demand for high-voltage cable technology.
KONČAR sees this investment as a step toward boosting the competitiveness of the Croatian energy sector while supporting the global shift toward more efficient and sustainable power systems.
