Končar – D&ST, together with Danish tech company Hans Folsgaard, has won a tender to deliver distribution transformers for a grid expansion project in eastern Denmark.

Croatia, Zagreb: Croatian electrical equipment manufacturer Končar – Elektroindustrija’s subsidiary, power transformer manufacturer Končar – Distributivni i Specijalni Transformatori (D&ST), together with Danish tech company Hans Folsgaard, has won a tender to deliver distribution transformers for a grid expansion project in eastern Denmark. From January 2025 through 2029, the company will supply around 400 high-efficiency distribution transformers annually as part of this agreement, the company announced in its monthly newsletter. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The tender was launched by Cerius and Radius, the grid operators in eastern Denmark, together with their partner, service company Nexel. Deployed within 10/0.4 kV transformer stations, key components in the power distribution process, these high-efficiency transformers are expected to decrease power losses, paving the way for a more sustainable and financially viable power system.
