Croatia, Zagreb: Croatian electrical equipment manufacturer Končar – Elektroindustrija’s unit Končar – Metal Structures has produced and delivered its first transformer tank and accompanying equipment to Hitachi Energy Poland, based in Łódź.
The company said that this milestone represents an expansion of the successful collaboration between the company and the Polish customer, transitioning from vacuum chamber projects to the transformer tank sector. The project posed several technical challenges, including rigorous external quality inspections, non-destructive testing of welds and the adoption of a state-of-the-art corrosion protection system, a new approach for the company.
