Loan approved for Bosnia wind farm

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Council of Ministers has approved a €103.05 million ($108.7 million) loan from the EIB for the construction of the Poklečani wind farm.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo: Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Council of Ministers has approved a €103.05 million ($108.7 million) loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for financing the construction of the Poklečani wind farm. The repayment period of the loan will be 25 years, including a five-year grace period.

The funds will be allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is implemented by state-owned power utility Elektroprivreda HZHB. It will be built near Rakitno in the southern part of the country and comprise 20 wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of 132 MW. Its expected annual electricity production is 436.96 GWh.
