Marine licence sought for Scotland offshore wind farm
Vargronn and Flotation Energy have sought a marine licence for the construction of the 1.35 GW Cenos floating wind farm in Scotland.

UK, Scotland: Norwegian offshore wind company Vargronn and Scotland’s Flotation Energy have sought a marine licence for the construction of the 1.35 GW Cenos floating wind farm in Scotland. The consent application was lodged with the Marine Directorate – Licensing Operations Team (MD-LOT).
The project will be designed to accommodate up to 95 floating turbines with a height of 320 metres. They are set to generate electricity for the UK grid and supply oil and gas platforms in the North Sea. The companies are also developing the 560 MW Green Volt floating wind project in Scotland.
