India, Goa: Pomburpa residents can look forward to a more reliable electricity supply following the installation of a new 100 kVA transformer at Vollant. The $30,000 (₹25 lakh) project is designed to resolve persistent issues of power fluctuations and outages in the area.

For years, ocals have struggled with frequent outages, low voltage, and damage to electrical appliances due to an unreliable supply. Their constant requests for a transformer have now been fulfilled, marking a crucial improvement in the region’s power infrastructure.

Speaking at the inauguration, Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira highlighted the importance of the upgrade. “Frequent power disruptions were a major concern for residents. This transformer will bring much-needed relief and enhance supply stability,” he stated.

In a continued push to enhance the electricity network, Ferreira also announced that another transformer will be installed at Golna within two months. Ferreira revealed plans to install another transformer at Golna within the next two months. Meanwhile, residents have also urged the installation of two more transformers at Zorint and Ecoxim to guarantee a steady power supply in those areas.

The MLA further noted that underground cabling work in the region has been completed, and the newly activated power line will significantly reduce supply disruptions.
