Poland, Poznań: Three companies participated in the tender to produce devices according to the instructions, with which the company has just signed agreements. These include Fabryka Transformatorów w Żychlinie, Power Engineering Transformatory and ZREW Transformatory.

The transformers, ranging from 25 to 40 MVA, will be installed in high-voltage stations to medium voltage substations.

Bogumiła Strzelecka, Vice President of Network Infrastructure at Enea Operator, stated that 14 devices are planned for installation this year. New units will support connection conditions and agreements while enhancing the integration of renewable energy sources.

Several dozen transformers will also be fitted with an area monitoring system to assess their dynamic load capacity. The delivered units will feature advanced diagnostic equipment which includes monitoring devices for gas content in oil, transformer oil parameters, bushing insulator condition, and the on-load tap changer’s technical state.

The undertaking will allow Enea Operator to increase the potential of connecting new customers and renewable energy producers.

The replacement of the transformers is expected to be complete by 2028.
