Croatia, Senj: Croatia’s largest wind farm, Senj, with a power of 156 MW and projected to generate 530 GWh of electricity a year, obtained a licence allowing it to move from test to regular operation. At the end of September, after the signing of a flexibility purchase agreement with the wind farm’s owner, Energija projekt, the site joined the GEN-I Group’s virtual power plant, which has now become one of the largest aggregators in Croatia.
The plant is an advanced electricity management system that integrates dispersed energy sources, users, and storage into a unified platform. It adapts to real-time conditions in the distribution network, adding value for energy producers and the grid. By optimizing energy trade in organized markets, the plant generates additional income for owners of energy installation.
