Sunview Group to build Uzbekistan solar project
Malaysian company Sunview Group will build a 200 MW solar power plant in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent: Malaysian company Sunview Group will build a 200 MW solar power plant in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan. The project expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, between October and December. According to the regional government’s press service, the initiative, valued at $150 million, will be executed through a public-private partnership (PPP). The regional governor, Khayrullo Bozorov, has met with representatives from the company to discuss the implementation of the project.
An agreement has been reached by the Ministry of Energy and Sunview Group on the project’s execution in the field of green energy, including the tariffs for the electricity generated and a land plot in the Fergana district has been allocated to the investor for the development of a feasibility study for the project. The company has also proposed installing solar panels in the homes of low-income families on a sponsorship basis and has initiated plans for inter-university cooperation and the establishment of regional offices in Malaysia and Uzbekistan.
