The Coil Winding industry didn’t plan a real-world A/B test

But over the last four years, it’s been running one.

Same field. Same audience.

Two trade fairs. Two trajectories.

1. 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲.

Coiltech Deutschland has held steady above 80% rebooking for four consecutive editions—most of them within just four weeks.

The same applies to Coiltech Italia, which launched in 2010.

Berlin dropped from 71% to 56% over the same time frame.

Rebooking is trust.

And the market has spoken—again and again.

2. 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬.

Since its launch in Germany, Coiltech has gained more than 250 exhibitors.

Most of the names that once made Berlin a reference now exhibit at Coiltech—across multiple editions, and with consistency.

In 2024, Berlin still filled its halls—but with names less remembered than replaced, and in narrow formats. Most of them do not return in 2025.

The centre of gravity has shifted.

3. 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐬𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧.

In March 2025, 519 stood on the floor at Coiltech Deutschland.

84% rebooked for 2026 within five weeks.

Plus, 29 first-time exhibitors.

The curve points upward.

Berlin is declining.

The trend is clear.

For Berlin exhibitors, the question now is:

𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏—𝒐𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌?
