This year, Transformers Academy successfully delivered live lessons for the highly popular Introduction to Transformers course, available in both English and Spanish editions. Hosted by Orlando Giraldo and sponsored by The H-J Family of Companies, these lessons were made accessible to all, offering essential knowledge on transformer technology and its applications.
In addition, the Transformer Oil Course was a key offering, with several insightful lessons led by CS Narasimhan. Thanks to Ergon’s sponsorship, the live broadcasts for this course were available to all participants, providing comprehensive expertise on transformer oil properties and testing.
The Design of Power Transformers Course was made possible by Weidmann, while the DGA Course was generously sponsored by Doble. The Transformer Testing Course was another highlight, with support from Intellirent.
We also hosted valuable training sessions by Comem, Elprom, and Shell, further enriching the content available to our community.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
A special thanks goes to Cwieme Berlin for their exceptional support of women in the industry. As part of the Wipe initiative – a program focused on empowering women in the industry – Transformers Academy has launched a scholarship program specifically designed for female professionals. This initiative is generously sponsored by Cwieme Berlin.
New Additions to the Academy
This year marked the launch of the Insulating Liquids Test Course, with the first lesson successfully completed. The second lesson is scheduled for January 16th, and registration is now open.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce the Solid State Transformers Course, launching in January 2025. The first lesson is scheduled for January 8th, and registration is now open.
We are also pleased to share that the Transformer Specification Course will soon be available in Spanish, with live lessons beginning next year. Stay tuned for more updates on our website!
