Brazil, Maceió: The Ritz Lagoa da Anta Hotel & SPA, a premier tourist destination in Maceió, northeastern Brazil, is enhancing its energy infrastructure with the installation of a WEG encapsulated dry-type transformer. Known for its energy efficiency, durability, and safety, the transformer will provide reliable power distribution throughout the hotel’s extensive facilities.

Tailored by WEG’s engineering team to meet the hotel’s specific needs, the transformer is equipped with an IP-23 protection rating, offering effective shielding against solid objects and moisture. Its resistance to high salinity, which is a common challenge in coastal environments, makes it especially suited for indoor applications in seaside locations.

The transformer will ensure a stable and efficient energy supply across all parts of the hotel, including guest rooms, restaurants, pools, and leisure areas, supporting a structure that can accommodate up to 2,000 guests. As a dry-type unit, it also eliminates the risk of oil leaks and requires minimal maintenance, further aligning with the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

This collaboration between WEG and the Ritz Lagoa da Anta Hotel & SPA underscores the vital role of advanced transformer technology in modern hospitality infrastructure, reinforcing shared values of quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility in Brazil’s tourism sector.
